Getting Your Calf Home Safely
We’ve shipped calves coast to coast. Whether you’re picking up at the ranch or having one flown across the country, here’s how it works.
Pickup at the Ranch
Free, and the most stress-free option for the calf. We’ll help you load into a trailer or stock racks. Plan on arriving in the morning so the calf has daylight to settle in at home.
Bring water and clean bedding for the trip. We’ll send you off with a packet of grass hay your calf is already accustomed to.
Ground Transportation
We work with a short list of trusted livestock haulers we’ve used for years. Cost depends on distance, route, and whether your calf is shipped solo or with other animals.
Typical range: $1.50–$3.00 per loaded mile. We’ll get you a quote before you commit.
Airline Shipping
For long-distance buyers, airline shipping is faster and often comparably priced. Calves fly on USDA-approved cargo carriers in climate-controlled holds, accompanied by a health certificate and shipping crate.
Typical cost: $700–$1,500 depending on destination airport and crate size.
